Currently Loving!

Yay, my first "favorites" post! I think I'll have fun doing these. I'm finally starting to find products that I absolutely LOVE and would like to share. I'm sure you've definitely heard of some of these, but that's ok! Maybe you already have them, maybe you've been thinking about them, maybe you've never heard of them. Read on and enjoy!
1. Urban Decay Naked Palette - Now let me tell you something. I put off buying this palette for SO long because I couldn't bring myself to pay $50 for it. I know pretty much everyone has it but I thought since I wasn't even really that good at eye makeup, what was the point? Well, I caved and bought it and I'm so glad I did. It also comes with their original eyeshadow primer, Potion, and a shadow brush. I've gotten better and better at doing shadows since getting this palette. It's great because even when I'm in a rush, I can swipe on some "Naked" & "Half Baked" and run out the door.

2. Sigma Beauty Mr. Bunny Travel Kit - These brushes, oh, these brushes. I heard about them through YouTube makeup guru, Jaclyn Hill at a time when I really needed new brushes. I was hesitant because I usually HATE online shopping. I like to see, feel, touch, hold, etc. something before I buy it. But since I kept hearing good things (I Googled like crazy), I went ahead and bought the brushes. Sigma sells their brushes individually, in full kits and in travel kits. The full kit had 12 brushes, which I knew I didn't need all of them so I bought the travel, which had seven and covers everything the average person needs. The kits also come with a travel case and the "Bunny" title means they are vegan friendly. I was the brushes with MAC brush cleaner and have not had any problems with bristles falling out. PLUS, a big plus, they go back to being uber soft after wash! -- Side note, Sigma has a ton of coupon codes online, I found mine on Jaclyn's YouTube channel, and they send you an extra something when you spend more than $30.

3. Bath & Body Works Moonlight Path - I HATE lotions that leave my hands feeling extra greasy and this certainly doesn't do that. The triple moisture leaves my legs feeling so soft and (most of) their scents are fabulous. I love Moonlight Path for the work week because it's not too strong and Warm Vanilla Sugar at night and Paris Amore for going out. I usually always buy their lotions during when they're having one of their sales or with a coupon.

4. Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick - This lipstick has changed my life. I used to NEVER wear color on my lips but this has changed me. Well, sort of. I started off with Maybelline Whispers and Maybelline Vivids then stepped up to UD when I got used to seeing some color on my lips. It's soft and a little creamy, like a balm, and doesn't crack or dry out and lasts a good while. I got the color "69," which is a bright red. It is the one in the photo but I have to say the photo looks a little darker. I line this with a red NYX lipliner. UD does have matching lipliners for these lipsticks but NYX is just as good and a quarter of the price.

5. Maybelline Eye Studio - When it comes to eye makeup, I am very picky. I have horrible eye allergies and don't want to irritate them any more.  I have always used a eye liner pencil and lined the inside of my eyes. When I decided to do the cat eye look, I bought an NYC liquid eyeliner and OMG, it was bad. It was really, really bad. The liquid literally leaked INTO my eye. I immediately decided I was going to find something good. I also found this eyeliner by watching a Jaclyn Hill tutorial. I figured gel must not be too bad, and it wasn't. It does come with it's own brush but I use the Sigma E65 Small Angle brush with it.

Sorry if I rambled a bit on some of the products but I really wanted to share why I love them! Have you tried any of these products? What do you love?

Talk to you all soon!

Sephora Color IQ - Review

Good day!

Last night, after hearing about it a couple weeks ago, I decided to stop into Sephora to try their new "Sephora + Pantone Color IQ". This is a process where they take a little gadget and place it onto a couple different spots on your face and match you with the perfect shade of a foundation.

The way it works is the gadget is put on different parts of your face, usually the forehead, cheek and chin, and it captures and scans your skin and assigns you your Color IQ. All three scans of your face are different numbers which are then put together to give you your overall number. You do not feel anything nor do you hear anything. It is also completely harmless to your skin. However, to do this, you must be wearing no makeup, no tinted moisturizers and no spf. They obviously have makeup remover, if you need.

When the person helping me first did it, he said he needed to do one part again because it was showing I had a red undertone, which I don't. He could tell that I had been in the sun, which made my face a little red. All he needed to do was capture a different part of my face. When he was done he gave my number, which was 1R08, then showed me on their handy iPad all of the foundations that I was matched to. They also emailed it to me so I could look online.

Before I left I walked around the store and went through some of the foundations. I swatched about every inch of my face and half of my arm. There was one foundation I really wanted to purchase and try but of course with my luck, they were out.

When I got home I went online to look more into the given foundations. Which, online, you can filter it to match your specifications (skin type, foundation type, etc). Online when you enter your number in, it doesn't show you your foundation color until you click it. And for a few foundations it gave me two shades, depending if I wanted to do a shade lighter or darker.

Via email, they do tell you your foundation shade. That makes it easy for when you're at the store and need to check real quick.

The foundations they show are only foundations that they sell in store or online. So if you use a brand that they do not carry, they won't be able to give you a shade. Also, you may not match every foundation that they do have.

I think the process of this Color IQ will definitely come in handy during season changes when you change shades but aren't sure to what. I was told that every Sephora does this, so stop by and give it a try. It's free!

This was a fun little experience and I think you should all try it out. Enjoy!

Oh, Hello There!

Hi! And welcome to my blog. I guess I'll begin by saying the first post is hardest. It can definitely be tough trying to catch attention by just your first post, but that's okay, I've done this enough times that I shouldn't be too horrible.

I'll start off my introducing myself. My name is Christina Theresa (hence the title) but I mainly just go by Christina or Tina. I'm a 24 year old college graduate trying to figure out life. I'm a daughter, girlfriend (to my wonderful boyfriend Kazem of more than two and a half years), friend and cat mommy (to my little girl, Zoey).

I love Pinterest, blogs, trying new things, things that glitter and shine, and things that help make me feel and look pretty. And this leads me into the start of my new blog. I'm just your average, normal girl next door. I'm not a pro at using beauty products and health but I know how to. Incase that doesn't make sense.. I know how things are suppose to work but my execution isn't always the best. This will be me sharing my trials and errors, likes and dislikes, and whatever else with you. I will read the blogs of those perfect skinned and haired girls, the in shape health nuts, and try different products then share with you how they turned out.

I'm the girl that goes, "I LOVE her hair, I'm going to try that!" and then it turns out either really good or not good at all. I'll share my experiences and hope you enjoy reading and can learn something from me!

Let the games begin. :)
